“Los Musicos”, oil on Gord, by Ecquipula Romero de Romero, 31x32, signed lower right and dated 1932. Romero de Romero is the first native born New Mexico artist to study and paint nationally, and is only now emerging from obscurity. “Los Musicos”, depicting three native Hispanic musicians, is a major work of American regionalism with solid New Mexico origins and provenance.
